FOVL Sunday Program Presents “The Panama Papers: A Journalist’s Perspective,” with Alexa Olesen

Friends of the Village Library of Cooperstown Programs Committee is pleased to present: Alexa Oleson, The Panama Papers: a Journalist’s Perspective. The event will take place at 3:00 PM on April 28 at in the ballroom on the third floor of 22 Main Street Cooperstown, NY. It is free and open to the public and sponsored by Friends of the Village Library.
Alexa Olesen was a foreign correspondent for The Associated Press in Singapore for three years and in Beijing for eight years. After coming back to the US in 2013, she worked on a series of investigative pieces about China’s offshore secrets. Her work exposing the hidden wealth of Chinese elites was part of the Pulitzer Prize-winning “Panama Papers” project produced by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). She lives in Brooklyn and is now director of research at a China-focused research and consulting company.
